Our Funeral Directors in Farnborough

If there was an option for 0 stars I would use it! Do not recommend, we were told a couple of hours before visiting chapel of rest to say goodbye to my nan, that we could not see her because of the state she was in, when we went in to the Farnborough branch to ask why would this happen when embalment should allow us to view her, we were told that we never opted for embalment!!!! We then stated that this was never asked when filling out paperwork, and Michelle repeatedly and rudely stated that she asked us, when we looked at the paperwork it was clear that embalment was left clear and was never asked and this was later admitted by the team, Then after we had driven home (2 hours away) we got a call to say that they have made our nan presentable if we would like to come see her, this was done without our permission!!!!! This was so upsetting for us to hear after being told that we wouldn't be able to say goodbye! Me and my sister decided to drive back up the next day to say our goodbyes only to be absaloutly devastated that they would let us see our nan in that state! Our nan was not fit for viewing and has left us with haunting images that will unfortunately stick with is for the rest of our lives and needing to have counselling! There slogan reads dignity which can not be further from the truth, the way you handled our nan was with NO dignity, the was the family was treated was with NO dignity, the was this complaint was handled was with NO dignity and even though they admitted fault for everything they put it down to a learning curve for the future. You have made an already tragic thing an undoable devastating memory thay we will have to live with for the rest of our lives!!!

The team at Francis Chappell take the stress out of a bad situation. Michelle in particular is an amazing ambassador for the business and really understands the feelings of the whole family.

Excellent service. Michelle was compassionate, helpful, very knowledgeable and guided the family through the process explaining what was required and what our options were. She also introduced us to an excellent celebrant who was in regular contact with the family on a regular basis. On the day of the funeral the cars arrived exactly on time, the funeral director and staff were very professional and thanks to everyone involved a difficult day was made that much more easy to bear.

Jenny and Michelle were amazing. From our initial meeting to plan my brother's funeral, they listened and guided me through the process at a very difficult time with genuine care, support, and sensitivity. They both helped me put a wonderful order of service and photo tribute together and were always so supportive and helpful. They contributed to a beautiful send off for my brother, and myself and my family are so grateful.

Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always there at the end of the phone if I needed them and followed up with me afterwards to see how I was and how things were going. Thank you so much.
